The regular general assembly of Pro Swissmetro took place on Mai 9, 2009 in Glattbrugg. After the general assembly in the morning, there was an outing in the afternoon.

All the points on the agenda were discussed and accepted. This means that the forward-looking strategy of the committee was approved. The committee was also completed with Beat Meier, who was elected by acclamation. Beat Meier has already been assisting the committee for 1 year.

As a seasoned and very active member, Ruedi Mettler was appointed an honorary member. The winner of our competition "Members Recruit Members" was also announced. Andreas Meier recruited the most members and won a trip to Paris. It was announced that a visit to the construction site Weinbergtunnel of the new Durchmesserlinie in Zurich is planned for this year's outing in autumn.

After lunch the new Glatthalbahn line was taken to the airport before the construction sites of the third stage were visited by bus. It was a very interesting outing that allowed a good insight into a project that also used to be visionary.
